TubeFex Question

Are most people who are using the Peavey TubeFex using it as a preamp and going from it into a power amp or mixer and then to speakers. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I am un familier with them.
I would appreciate hearing someones setup with the tubfex in a stereo rig.
