I have a Boss SE50 processor that the volume drops down after using it for a while?? could that be the power transformer that hooks into the wall or would that be some internal problem? I finally had to go to another processor that I have, but miss the great effects of the SE50. Anyone know where one of these SE50's could be checked out & repaired??

Have you had the internal battery changed?

I've been using one of these for about 12 years and have never had a problem with it. I never realized it had an internal battery, but I guess it would have to in order to save the programs. I guess its time I checked into it.

It may need that battery changed, I have not had that one too long but I have two other SE50's that I have had to change batterys in, they did not act this way, but, hey, its worth a try so a new battery will be tried tomorrow to see if that solves the problem. For the fellow who has never changed his in 12 years, thats gotta be a record, I have changed them about every 4 years most of the time. here is the battery # if you want to give it a shot Duracell DL2032, 3 volt. they look like a watch battery, Walmart has those, maybe not that brand but they'll have a sub for it. Needless to say, with 3 of the SE50's you could almost say I like them alot!! I will let you guys know if that battery change cured the problem.

ps: if you don't know how to change it, or do not have a manual, email me and I will send direction on how to do the change & not loose your settings.

If you like the SE50 you will love the SE70. I am now trying a VF-1, it has features for lead guitar like most effects units but was able to get all but 2 of my main effects when switching from the SE70.
