I just got a used RC2000 (remote controller) to use with my Session 2000. Tried to download a manual from Peavey's website and it ain't on there, but it did offer the option to order one, which I did. I just wondered if someone could tell me in the meantime how to set it up so I can use the 2 knobs on the controller, and what they are typically used for?
It'd be nice if you could set one of them up to dial the presets up or down so you don't have to enter the exact preset number everytime you want to change, but I'm doubtin' that it'll do that.
Thanks in advance.

The controller knobs can be used for anything you would normally use an expression pedal or midi foot controller for: volume, tone, anything. I use one of mine as a volume controller to quickly fine tune the range of my volume pedal without twisting around to get to the amp.
I use the patch exchange feature to put all my favorite settings in the C50 to C59 range-- a patch that's tweaked for my fiddle, two dobro patches and steel patches for the rest. Then changing patches is a matter of simply hitting one button on the RC2000.
For me, twisting a knob to dial up patches would be slower and more error-prone. Just MHO, though.
Have fun.

Thank you Mylos. Can you tell me how to go about setting the knobs up to do that?

Bobby, I'll be glad to assist you with questions that you have concerning the RC2000 handcontroller.
To start, set the midi channel on the Session amp to #1 and that will allow the handcontroller and the amp to "talk" to each other. When choosing a preset, if you are within a "set" of presets(example;from presets 10 to 19) and you wish to change to preset 15, you only have to press the 5 to change to preset 15. If you within a set of 10 presets, you only have to press one number.
The two rotary controls are for setting up continuous controllers to manipulate the parameters of an effect such as chorus speed. This is a bit "involved", so after you have read the operating guide, please call me toll free in North America at 1-877-732-8391. I am in the office from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday and will be glad to assist you. The RC2000 will allow you to control many features of the Session 2000 amp. Thanks for using our products.
