Just curious to see if anyone has either seen or played through one of these, thinking about maybe getting one.

This will probably be moved to Electronics, but... where did you hear about it? Is it like an updated Vibrosonic or an all new design?

Hi Harry, In the Electronics section there is a post on this subject, and our own Lenny Amaral has just purchased one and is very happy with it. How are the gigs with Cindy Lane going? Manny Escobar

Nicholas and Dave,
Thanks for the heads up on those url's.

Bob,
Yes, that was me last year with Roger Trahan doin' the twin steel thing. I am glad you enjoyed it. Many Thanks!

Harry,
My friend "Big John Bechtel" here in Nashville just bought a Custom Twin '15. I've been using a Twin '65 re-issue with the (2) '12's for about a year. I love it with my '71 Emmons P/P.

A good friend of mine just got his new twin, as soon as I get a chance , I am going to give it a go !

I've been playing through this ’65 Reissue Twin–Reverb Custom 15 since last Saturday, and this is the sound that I've been l©©king for most of my musical life. This is definately the amp for me, without even thinking about any modifying of any kind. This is just perfect the way it is for me! I'm really l©©king forward to play out in public with this one!

Can you guys tell me the difference in the fender twin, and a session 400? what's the difference tone wise? I like my session, but somebody said Tom Brumley used a fender twin on the songs he done with Buck Owens. I really liked the sound of his guitar. I think he was playing a ZB though. but generally speaking, how is it different tone wise? thanks
Terry

I beleive Tom Brumley uses a Fender BassMan with built in reverb (!).
I don't know if that's what he used in the ole days, but he sounds killer tru it with that Anapeg.

OK, John !! How did you get those funny "O's" in your posts ?? I checked your edit file but it doesn't give me a clue...

I did go to a balloon fly off for the Cherry Blossom Festival here in Macon, GA and my grandson Caleb really liked the Hooters ballon, first because it was his favorite color orange but also because those two "O's" looked like Elmo's (from Sesamie Street...) eyes. He kept saying "Mo Mo's eyes !" That's what caught my attention when you used yours.

Regards, Paul

The last time I saw Tom Brumley, he played a Fender Twin with 2 12" speakers, I believe that one has been his favorite for years. As for the difference between a Twin and a Peavey 400, well the best way to find out is to put them up side by side and find out for yourself
I know which one I like best, but:
If you like, for instance, the West Coast style, like Tom and Ralph Mooney, and 70s country rock and stuff like that (the kinds of music I play all the time), you will love the Fender.
If you´re drawn more towards contemporary country sounds, you might like the Peavey better.

Regards, Joe H.

It depends on what kind of internet-unit you're using, I guess. I only use a WebTv unit and my keyboard has codes for different signs, but; I know some people with PC [which I know nothing about] who can't use the Alt's for different symbols or something like that! Smiley Roberts Signature was entered when he owned this WebTv unit, but; he told me he can't do it with his PC. But then, that was soon after he got the PC and he may have found another way by now! ¡©¿©¡®™ Sorry Smiley!
