Info on Fender Super Six please??
Could someone point me to a good website or other good source of info?
I have been trying to find specs on the 70's Super Six, with little success. Was this like a Super Reverb with six speakers or a more of a Twin with six 10"? Or something else entirely?
One of my musician friends passed away and kind of left me his old SuperSix, I was thinking of having the head serviced and putting it in a new cabinet with one 15" and using it for steel. (The old cabinet is shot or I wouldn't butcher it).
Thanks!

Doug,
Back in the '70s I took the head out of an old Super six and built a cabinet for it, the same size as a Twin Reverb. I put a 15" JBL in it. That was a really good sounding steel amp. I'm sure it would sound great with a Black Widow 1501 in it too.
I used that amp for several years, until someone broke into the club I was playing and stole it, and a lot of other equipment.

I got some information from another cabinetmaker, looks promising. I've also done some searches here on the forum for tone mods for the twin amps. This may be fun, although for what it's going to cost I could just buy another good amp! Oh well, it's a sentimental thing. My old buddy would think it's pretty neat. I'm thinking about one of the new Eminence Delta Lite speakers, but need to check on the impedance thing.
