Peavey Profex Settings

Post by Tom Cunningham »

I have a second hand Profex unit don't know how old it is but the manual is dated 1990.It's not a Profex2.
If any of you guys have presets for this kit I would be grateful for them. The settings which were in the machine have a really grungy sound to them I guess in a previous life it was into heavy metal or punk.
Thanks guys

Tom, thanks for using Peavey products. The original Profex processor(the one that you own)was introduced before the Profex II, naturally. It just so happens that the newer Profex II came equipped with the RAM cartridge format and at that time many steel guitarists began creating and trading their custom presets.

I have never encountered anyone who has steel guitar presets for Profex, but if you are going to locate any, the FORUM is the place.

Thanks for that Mike. I've always been impressed with the way you take time to respond to requests on this forum. I kinda guessed that what you said was the case. I was looking for a set-up to start from. I'm going through a NV1000. I also have a Studio Pro 112 which I may try with the Profex. Thanks again.

ps Is the NV112 similar to the Studio Pro 112 which I have? When will the NV112 be available in the UK?
