As small as our little world of steel guitar is, I feel we are very lucky to have a monster company like Hartley Peavey's to keep us as "steel players" on their list of customers and to do the great job of supplying us with such fine products.
Also, Evans, and Ed Buffington who, on a smaller custom basis, supply us with a great sounding alternitive amp. And of course, the incomparible Webb, that many of us also like and use.
I'm sure there are others that should also be recognised, such as Standel, but what we should be thankful for is the fact that someone out there cares for our different, special needs for steel guitar, and supplies us with such fine products.
Peavey proved this again with the just released "Nashville 112" steel amp. I appreciate their effort, as I do Evans, Webb,Standel,Davis,"Stereo Steel" amp company,Etc.

Well now Bobbe, that is something I am sure we can all agree on.

Bobbe,
I couldn't agree with you more....I have just recently started playing pedal steel , and I feel like I'm a member of the " forgotten few" when trying to learn this instrument...While many companies have left the pedal steel player behind , Peavey ( and a few other companies ) have kept steel playing alive...
God bless them all !!.... Jim |
