I need a knob to an early Boss Tone. Does anyone know where I might find such a thing, or does anyone have one they can sell me?
If I can't replace the knob, I will need to move on and get another distortion (only) device, something I can clip to the leg of the steel.
Being somewhat out of touch in terms of what is in favor these days, I would welcome recommendations. |

Bummer! I got a PM from someone whose address I didn't recognize, so I "mailwashed" it by checking a box.
I then glanced at the text and saw "boss tone" and so I clicked on it to send to my mail program to be opened, but since I had checked the box, it got deleted from the server.....gone forever.
I can only hope the sender will see this and be kindly disposed to one too quick of mouse, and resend it. |

I have a BossTone that someone used a plastic "sewing" button in place of the original knob. Works ok, just doesn't look too hot. Could have found something other than yellow!  |

What a great idea. I was stumped initially with the raised center of the knob, but there was something familiar about it I couldn't put my finger on. Now I know. I guess I'm going to have to become a button freak.
Now to find a replacement screw. I put it someplace where "I would be sure to find it".
A mind is such a terrible thing to lose :-)

John LeMay rebuilds those. Cleans them up real good, been doing it for Cage for years. They're kinda fragile, so you need to be careful.
