This is an older amp with 2 6L6 output tubes, I think from late seventies or early eighties, it has 2 12" speakers, which are Celestions, this thing should be worth $150, right?

I grabbed one of those in near mint condition at Guitar Center for $150. Heck of a lot of amp for the money, seriously.

Are you sure its an older amp? I recently owned a Peavy Classic 30. Sounded fantastic and tons of volume for a 30 watt amp. BUT, The speaker blew- twice. Replaced the amp with a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. Similar sounding amp- no maintenance problems. But for $150, snatch that Peavy up!

If it's a VT series, I have one and I've written about it here recently. Solid state two channel preamp section, foot-switchable to, I believe, 'cascade' and overdrive the two channels, a chorus or phaser built-in..... A limited amp for steel (it was not designed for steel) but within its narrow usable eq band (for steel) it has a pretty nice sweet spot, I just recently discovered. Yes, I would think it's worth $150. With a lot of good amps out there for guitar or steel I'm not sure how much more I would pay.

If it's the Classic VT, it carried an MSRP of $389.50 back in 1979. It's a good deal as there are many of these models that are returned for repair occasionally.
