Has anybody tried both of these and if so, would you be kind enough to share your experiences ?

I'm currently looking at several alternatives, but I can't get my hands on anything but the standard guitar-tuners anywhere around here.

Hi Ole
i use a DTR1 tuner and i'm quite happy w: it
it has 3 modes for tuning: Cents,Hertz and Strobe
it has a note indicator that comes in handy
and it has a cable tester that's quite handy
unfortunatly i know nothin' about the DTR2000
Good Luck on your quest...

I have used a DTR1 for several years and like it very much. I also own several other tuners but prefer the DTR1.

The only downside is that the pass-thru connection really sucks as it does on most equipment. Nothing like messing up the simple part of a design, go figure....

Like Robert, I have used a DTR-1 for a number of years...... but unlike him and other players, I do NOT use the pass-thru connection. I use a Y splitter and feed the tuner off of the Profex II. This way, There is NO bleed-thru or other loss of signal to the next device.

Like most other players, I have noticed the undesirable effects with the pass-thru method of connecting the DTR-1(and any other tuner) Useing the "Hang it off the side" approach, gives you the best of both worlds.....

1) No tones feed thru from the internal generated freq generator. This is most noted as a "A-440" sound when the input device is not overideing the tone generator of the tuner device.

2) You can check the tunning of any string with-out haveing the audio sound present !

I do not use the pass-thru either as it is noisy and filters the high frequency content. I just mentioned it is something which is promoted as a feature but does not work corretly.
