Vegas 400 question?

Post by Bob Smith »

I have a Peavy Vegas 400 amp that im thinking of buying. The amp has 2 indicator lights on the faceplate. One light is the red power indicator which comes on wtih the on switch. The other light which is yellow is an indicator light for an onboard compressor ( i think). Anyway, this light flashes on for a second when the power is turned on, and then stays off. Is this light supposed to be lit when the power is turned on? The amp seems to work ok, but i dont know much about these amps and wonder whether a foot pedal operates this light or is it supposed to be lit all the time ? Thankyou bob

It's been a long time since I had a Vegas, but I think it comes on when the power is turned on to make sure it still works. Then once the amp is on it only comes on when the compressor kicks in.

I'm with Ernie. I have two of them and that's how they both work.
