I saw in the MF catalog this M300 unit at a very reasonable price. It is a dual-engine multi-effects processor. It has seperate knobs for each engine. I've always liked having a knob spinner on stage. Since most the time I just use a single slap-back around 280ms and some large room reverb, the idea of exact control (unlike the Lex-MP100 or 110) appeals to me. I presently use a Lexicon Alex and an Ibanez DD-1000. Any opinions on the M300 out there?

I have an M-5000, two Gold Channels and G-Force, I don't have any experience with the M-300, but I think TC makes great stuff.

Doug,
Someone not long ago posted on the M300, and said that it was a great sounding unit..Better in fact than the lower priced Lexicons ...I'm going to get one for my rack only because I am very happy with TC Effects units....I have an M3000 that has probably the best natural sounding reverb out there....It's not a cheap unit, but it sure does sound great when used on high bit digital recordings !!...Jim

I have a TC G-major. I don`t think it cost so much more than a M-300.

The G-major has a inline tuner thats ON at all time and doesn`t steal any sound. Just this feature made me sell my Korg DTR-1 tuner and made the invest in the G-major justyfied.

The tuner works great with humbucker pickups but I suspect it to be not so good if you have single coil pickups.

I once owned a Lex MPX-100 but like the M-300 it does not have a display.

I really dislike not having a display.

My advice would be: upgrade to G-major or something with a display.

Sound wise I`m sure the M-300 are great too.
