| I currently use an RV-3. I`m considering an MPX 100. Anybody made this comparison? I go mono, want delay and reverb at the same time, and Play a NV1000 or Vibrosonic THANKS!! |

Steve - I have an MPX-100 that I really like a lot. I love all the different reverbs that are available and the fact that you can tweak and store them. I also like using a combination of reverb and a touch of chorus. Better yet, reverb with a slight touch of flange for an even more subtle effect. However, I have never been able to get a decent combination of reverb and delay. I like using just one hit on the delay, along with reverb, and haven't been able to get it with the Lex. I finally added an inexpensive no-name digital delay to my rack and am very happy. Now I can mix reverb, chorus, and delay!

| In digital reverbs, there's not too much that comes close to the Lexicon algorhythms. They have some of the most lush and dense reverbs out there. No comparison the the Roland pedal... |

I have used both, sold the RV-3 to my brother.
Now used an Ibanez in front of the Lexicon. left and right channels out to mixer or Session 500 and a Fender Pro (Modified with 15" JBL). Love this setup.

Instead of the MPX 100 go up to the MPX 200.
You will get tap in delay and a little compression in addition to two other effects all at the same time. I use a spring reverb (Tube Works) but use the MPX 200 for delay, chorus and compression.

Hey, Erv, I've got an MPX 200, and I can't get the compressor to sound, well, COMPRESSED! How do you use yours, with and without the other effects?
Is it Uff-Da???? |

You have to rub a little Uff-Da on it. No, really, if you read through the manual it will explain how you can bring up and set the compressor. Compression is always available no matter what other effects you are using.
There is even a set of lights that indicate how much compression you have on. Lexicon's manual leaves a lot to be desired but if a left-handed Norwegian can figure it out, you shouldn't have a problem!

Overkill!?! No such thing!
Actually, I use my Lex and and a cheap no-name digital delay and one amp (Evans). I used to use the Evans and a Nashville 400, but I'm just as happy with one amp. My back is even happier!
