Mike: Monday night I had the good fortune to compare several amp setups .There were Evans, Walkers, Peaveys, and a couple of high dollar stero rack systems. I'll have to say the Peavey 1000 was my choice. Its been awhile since I've used a Peavey but I'm buying a 1000 very soon. Good job on this amp. Best Regards, Eddie Malray P.S. I,ve hooked a 35volt EDI box (Peavey) to a Fender Twin. The Twin says 117 volts on the back. Every thing is cool right now. Should I expect trouble. I'm not going to use it anymore till I hear your reply |

117 volts is the AC input from the wall. 35 volts is the maximum output the EDI box can handle, which I doubt you would ever come close to. |

35volts, max with a 4 ohm load would be...
about 306watts peak, which I"m sure you are safe with the twin
about 153 watts into an 8ohm load etc...
...76 watts into a 16 ohm load
In other words, you should be pretty safe here

There have been several versions of a Fender Twin through the years, but it should be safe because even a 240 watt amp produces approximately 30 volts with a 4 ohm speaker load.
The great thing about the EDI(Electronic Direct Interface) Box is that it takes your signal directly from the speaker for proper speaker voicing. The item number is #00345860. I suspect that the EDI will operate fine with your Twin.

To all who replied: Thank you guys very much. I'm not much on electronics. I did play the amp a little and I noticed nothing different----no extra heat or anything. It sure did'nt hurt the sound any. I'm glad I bought this thing. Thanks again, EDDIE |
