Amp hums with Stringmaster

My amp hums with my Stringmaster. It gets louder as the volume is turned up. Touching the guitar strings has no effect. The hum isn't tremendous, but it is louder than with my Ric bakelite or other guitars, and is annoying with the amp at gig levels.

The hum is not a buzzy or static like.

Any ideas on to fix this?
