Yes, they had to be as there has never been a tweeter designed into a Peavey steel guitar amp. Maybe the idea was to use the amp as an electric/acoustic as well.

Why don't they put tweeters in steel amps?
I used to play through a couple of Peavey PA cabinets that had 15" speakers, mid range and tweeters. They really sounded good. (p.s., I had the Peavey dealer replace the scorpions with Black Widows)
Just wondering.
