How do you tell which is which? Does anyone have the outside dimensions? Are there any other differences?

Darvin;
The short ones look like a Session 400. From what I understand, they made them taller so you wouldn't have to remove the chassis to get the speaker out. I was also told that there were only twenty five short ones made. I'm sorry I sold the shortie I had.

The short one is 20&1/2" tall.

I've still got my short-cabinet Session 500 and it's an awesome steel guitar amp. Now if it wasn't so heavy...
