I still love the warmth of a tube amp for steel, but not the weight
Is there a PV tube power amp to combine with a tube preamp(seperate units)that is compatable for the tone range and characteristics of the steel?

If you have a solid state amp you should try Peavey's Tube Sweetener. It is a tube unit and adds warmth to a solid state setup.
