Looking for a very small lightweight mixer with a couple of inputs. One for the steel and one from a portable CD player with an output suitable for headphones to listen with. Any recommendations for one with a clean sound?

Behringer MX602, 135.99 Canadian. I got one that I use for practicing with headphones. Works great. |

Don,I use a Rolls MX28 for a "more me" in the studio and I have no problems with it. I got mine from either Musicians Friend or American Music Supply for less than $100.00.
It has 3 channels, 2 1/4 inputs per channel,a volume and pan control each,2 headphone's & 2 main outs with vol. controls.
It's not much bigger than the palm of your hand.

Don,
Get the 602A, they are fantastic-solid as a rock with great eq. Musician's Friend has them for about $70. |

I have decided to get the Rolls MX56S because it can be powered by a 12 volt dc supply in an RV. This is the ideal way to practice with a portable CD playing the tracks and plugging in the steel in to the mixer and using headphones. A wal wart can be used to practice at home.

I've been using the Behringer 4-channel that costs about $70 US. I've installed it permanently in my music room for rehearsals, with a Peavey power amp. Works great!
The only disadvantage is that there's no power switch. You have to pull the plug.
