I currently play through a Evans LE500 because it's lighter and smaller than my Vegas 400. I ran across a mint Nashville 1000. The 400 has the Peavey mod. What would be the advantages of the 1000 over the 400 (if any)other than power, since I don't double on guitar in this band.
Thanks in advance.

I recently acquired a Vegas 400 and put a mod kit in it. I was very disappointed. I thought it would be good to play steel through one channel and lead guitar through the other. I don't care for it much. I think the NV 1000 sounds a lot better. I don't think either one of them sounds as good as the NV400 or Session 500 with the mod kits installed. Just my taste though, yours might be different. I currently have two Evans Fet 500s, a Session 2000, A NV1000, A session 500, two NV400s, A Vegas400, and A session 400 limited. I seem to always take the NV400 w/mod kit. I used to take the Evans before I modifed the Peaveys.

The difference between the modified Nashville 400 and a Nashville 1000 is the increase in power from 210 watts from an analog amp to 300 watts of digital power and the redesigned all wood cabinet.

The combination of a modified preamp circuit, digital power amp, the 1501-4 ohm Black Widow all contribute to a different voicing.
