I have an Evans Pre-amp that I picked up and have been using it hooked up to the pre-amp in of my Nashville 400. I am getting a good tone, just wondering if anybody has some suggestions on the settings especially the body, and the depth and expand selections. |

I have 2 Evans amps and I had the preamp at time also. The preamp & preamps in the combo units work the same way. I recently put a Peavey 1501-4 BW speaker in the SE-200 Evans and I use the following settings.
Volume 7
Master Volume 2
Bass 5 or 6
Treble 1.5
Body 8.5
Expand on
Depth on
The treble is active and can shred lettuce as someone stated. The body control is extremely active with the depth & expand switched on. A one number increase or decrease with the body control can make quite a difference. The type of guitar & pickup can make quite a difference also so consider the above settings as a guide line and experiment from there. I hope this helps. |

I have a mid-1980's Evans FET 500 LV, in the large cabinet. Here are the settings I use with my Mullen.
Bass 8.5
Body 5
Treble 1.5
Depth Off
Expand On
Reverb to taste.
I fine-tune my sound with the Body control. It all depends on the room and the stage.
On the bandstand I usually run both the Volume and the Master at about 7. That's pretty loud, but we don't mike our amps.
