I have just done the same thing, and I put my reverb unit up flat against the front of the cabinet, against the grill cover, instead of on the bottom under the transformer, and it is not noisy. Also it let me cut the cabinet down in height to an inside dimension of 7 inches. I was afraid the transformer would induce noise either way, but it didn't in mine. Also, I made a small angle bracket for the speaker wire jack,it was just a common mono jack from Radio Shack, and used the screws that hold the bottom cover on the amp to hold it in place. It is next to the heat sink. I didn't drill any holes or modify the amp this way. Make sure you didn't reverse the wire when you plugged it back in. The edge of the connector with the (v) shape should be to the right.[This message was edited by Fred Murphy on 17 November 2001 at 07:35 AM.]
