Austin's Music Makers is the official Peavey dealer and repair; I was hoping to get some ideas about this before I bring my rig in.

I run a ProfexII from the back outputs into the "power amp in" of a Nashville 1000. Recently, it gives no sound when I first set up. So I patched the Profex from the effects loop into the FX loop on the front of the Nashville. The last couple times I did this, it worked fine for a few minutes, then the volume increased dramatically. I shut down, and I then undid the patch, and set up to the power amp in jack again, and it worked. (The first time the amp didn't respond, I didn't try the patch method. I didn't use the rack and played straight into the Nashville.) This has happened also when I turned the rig off after soundcheck and back on right before the show.

I get signal at all times in the Profex. The Nashville always works fine just by itself. It appears the power-amp-in jack may be the culprit, although I don't notice any looseness in the connection from outside the tamper-proof box. And the change in volume while using the loop is strange to me too. Any ideas?

Thanks from a loyal Peavey user.

"So I patched the Profex from the effects loop into the FX loop on the front of the Nashville." I don't understand what you are doing here. Can you call me on our toll free number? The number is 1-877-732-8391. Let's solve this.
