I thought it might be interesting to get feed back on the trans tube fex by Peavey which I personally after several months of figuring out what to do with this one of a kind processor, some input from other long time steelers.

What would you like to know, I have one of these. I like it... kinda it has a good sound but I find that the tubes are a bit limiting I think the ones I got are getting old though and it needs some help in the vol pedal dept. I have to pre amp the vol ped to get any volume and I don't use the tubes on steel because of the distortion that happens at higher volumes , there again I think the tubes are old I also use it for guitar too (six sting) and I use the tubes on it more often. if you have anut ?'s just ask.

I have a Transtube Fex. Love it. Thre are no Tubes in a Transtube Fex. The Tube Fex is the model with tubes.

I get great comments about my sound with my Transtube Fex. I use it with a MosValve 500 power amp and two 12" 1203-8 BW speakers.

I have several Transtube (and Tube) Fex programs listed on my web site. These same programs were also published by they PSGA in their newsletter.

I don't use very much of the Profex II programs with the Transtube Fex as I prefer to use the analog Transtube preamp. Using the Transtube preamp (TB) also enables the front panel gain/EQ controls.
