I have been using two Nashville 400's in stereo with dry sound thru one and delay/ chorus thru other. These amps reduce my height by 1" when I pick them both up at once. Getting too old/lazy for this kind of lifting. Don't need the power or volume. Don't think I ever did. Looking to get an idea of what the hot light-weight setup is these days that would also be useful for lead. Willing to swap these units or sell outright once I find replacements. Not looking for million dollar state of the art stuff. More concerned with schelpp factor than anything else.

My minimal weight setup would be a single space preamp/efx unit (my favorites would be a used Boss GX-700 or a new Boss VF-1 or a used Roland GP-100) plus a Stewart power amp in a SKB 2 space rack. Plus either a stereo cab (THD makes an awesome 2X12" cab) or a combination of a JBL or Peavey 12" or 15" cab plus a light second cab (with a Celestion or other light speaker).
Total weight of this would be only slightly greater than one Session 400.
I personally have invested in a great dolly, because I always take too much stuff to every gig.

I think the Walker would be great for steel (yours certainly sounded great, Jim). I'm not sure about guitar, however.

| Ah, yes, Dan. I missed that "lead" in the original post. I dunno about regular guitars. Maybe someone else can comment on how the Walker is for them? |

David - I'm impressed that you can actually pickup and carry two Nashville 400's at the same time. With my skinny little arms, it's all I can do to hoist one of them suckers up into the trunk!
