Why are they not making it anymore?
I thought it just came out about a year or so.

Our customers do deserve an explanation concerning the Session 2000.
As I have mentioned before, Peavey put a lot of effort in the way of jam sessions, shows and word of mouth about the Session 2000. And, I must say that customers have been excited about this "one of a kind" amplifier. No other manufacturer has focused so much energy and effort toward the steel guitar market than Peavey Electronics. I am here to say that Peavey has been the only major manufacturer who has been a supporter of steel guitar amplifiers since 1974. Hartley Peavey has been committed to this market since the early days of Julian Thorpe, who passed through Meridian in '70's while he was "on the road". He lived in Alabama.
Anyway, when the Session 2000 was shown at Scotty's show back in about '97, it was in its primitive stages. After building a database of necessary information such as artist presets, algorhythms etc. in order to program the amp, the Session 2000 was finally underway.
Unfortunately, one of our suppliers discontinued the manufacturing of a part for the unit. Our purchasing department researched for another supplier with no success. So, we were left with no alternative but to build what we had available parts for. We do have enough of this discontinued part to perform repairs for years to come, but not enough to build quantities of the Session 2000. So, we will build the remainder of the amps.
What this does is, make the amps that are built and are to be built, "unique" amps that only a couple of hundred players own.
Believe me, we are in the business to build amplifiers and sell them. If we research, market and manufacture products, we don't want to see them again after they are shipped, except for occasional maintenance when needed. We would build a thousand more if we could because they are in demand.
Unlike the Florida presidential election, unfortunately this was decided "for" us.
