Hello Jim,
There hasn't been an in software that would correct your particular symptom. However, I checked with several of our repair techs and they haven't heard of this symptom, so we would have to check your unit out here at the factory to take corrective action.

By the way, I recommend that you "don't" play during a thunderstorm if you are sitting in front of a piece of steel.
