I set it to download (I have dial up) ... went in to change a particularly foul diaper on "Big Dust" (14.5 lbs now @ 10 wks) ...
And when I came back, my two girls were dancin' around sayin' ... "Dad, its Sol Hoopii on the puter" (Ellie thinks steel guitar = Sol H.) ...
We all enjoyed the song and dance ...

Scotty, I thought your recording efforts went well on your tune. What did you use to record it? I started years ago multi tracking with a big Tascam reel to reel, then a Porta 2 studio and most recently their 8 track digital, the model number escapes me at the moment. I'm a bass player that tries to play some guitar, dobro and steel, I think your steel ability surpasses mine, but I'm afraid that isn't much of a compliment. Keep up the good work, it sounded great!! Best Regards, Michael |

Scott, I think you got a pretty good end product for the problems you described. It should be some consolation to know it is at least as clean as some of the pro recording efforts of the early 50's! I've been working a bit with an 8 string C6th tuning, and on occasion am surprised by what I find. My wife teaches piano, and in addition to her grands has a Roland for students to practice playing along to disc tracks. So I'm always pestering her to make me some rhythm track, as it will do decent drum tracks. Keep on working, sounds great! |
