Connect the effects loop out to the volume pedal in, and one of the volume pedal outputs to the effects loop in (or return - however it's labeled).

That's how it's done on a Nashville 400.

I can think of more then one reason.
1# Better sound
2# No loss of siginal
3# Less volume noise
3# Better tonal Range
4# Better responce
5# less interference
6# because I want to use it that way
