Well, Basil, this brings to mind the famous lawsuit brought by the writers of "He's So Fine" against George Harrison and his song "My Sweet Lord." George lost in that case, as I recall. I think UB40 has a definite case. I hope they sue her skinny little a** off!

Hedy Lamarr... now there's a lady who really wasn't dumb, no matter how many "dumb woman" roles she had to play in the movies.

Some of you probably know (or not) that she was the inventor of "spread spectrum" radio transmission, where the frequency of a transmission is continuously hopping to different frequencies, making it impossible to intercept and monitor without having the suitable spread-spectrum receiver. This method is still used today. She is credited with other ingenius inventions as well.

Hmmm, I wonder what great inventions Paris might be working on....?

at the height of her beauty.

But Heddy rocks...
smarter than most people by far,
and a sexy stunner.
If there was Mensa then,
she would have been up in the top percentage for sure.

She was also a full security clearance type during the war,
she was too smart to ignore, so they didn't.

Paris is the ultimate 21st century fox, if you ask me. Of all the old dead actresses you guys are showing, I'm only really familiar with Marilyn Monroe. I thought she was the very first "famous for being famous" celebrity? I read that she married a baseball player, had something to do sexually with the Kennedy's, and acted unmemorably in a few movies before dying some kind of tragic death. Oh ya, she stood over an air vent with a skirt on and showed her panties. That was her big moment. I don't know, boys.........ya can't knock Paris if you're gonna show us examples like Marilyn Monroe.
