Sounds like Gwen Stefani with a lot of auto-tuner.

Whether she can sing or not is beside the point. It's the overall Paris experience - you have to just relax and enjoy the scenery. She just got that something. Give in to it...........you know she's hot. Who cares about the rest?

And when she calls to offer $100,000 to play guitar and steel on her eight-week tour, we'll all race to turn it down to preserve our hard-won integrity
I never said I was too good to play for her.... but I still wouldn't buy the CD. Image

If you have the money and connections she has,
ANY one of us could have a hit album.

She has the promo cost buzz for free,
essentially it is pre marketed.

That said it is low risk for competant
songwriters and producers to come on board
for a cost she can easily afford, and do a great job.

Especially if they for see a good percentage return inevitable on the back end.

Autotune works wonders,
as was said, throw enough money at the problem
and grandma can be a hit.
[This message was edited by David L. Donald on 22 August 2006 at 11:02 PM.]

If I was Heir to the HILTON Fortune,

I would make my own CD and review it myself too !

But not until I got a good nights rest at a Holiday Inn of course . Image

anyway regarding Paris and her CD and fame..theres worse !

The tunes remind me of 80's BEAT music which I think is the point...

Now if she would just sit behind a Pedal Steel for a photo op...

I will refrain from making any rude comments, but I see no apparent talent in either her "acting" or singing.

b0b is right on about this one. This girl ain't no dummy and she sure ain't homely. She's every real mans dream and every womans nightmare and to top that all off she's very rich. I'd call that a ten plus! Watch the CD go through the roof.

Listen to her perfect intonation. It sounds like she leans towards JI. A true musical artist.

Earnest, as they say in the movies: "Be patient grasshopper". Honorable mention is not all that bad Earnest.

...singing isn't everything ...
I think that's the underlying theme of this thread.

I don't think Paris is every real man's dream. "I like my jello to jiggle, if you know what I mean."

(That's just a line I remember from the movie "Bringing Down The House"... and it seems to fit the occasion.)

"There's nobody in the world like me. I think every decade has an iconic blonde — like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana — and right now, I’m that icon.”

Marilyn is eternal. Paris is just a flash in the pan. No com"paris"on !!

Paris Hilton comparing herself to Princess Diana is almost as ridiculous as Michael Jackson comparing his "struggles" to those of Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela... which he actually did in an interview.
[This message was edited by Doug Beaumier on 23 August 2006 at 10:00 AM.]

I agree, Ron. I personally find her kinda repugnant; sort of equine. There are others that, like one former President, I can 'lust after in my heart', but she sure ain't on the list.

That statement by her in Time is right on. Look at the tube, she's all over it. She's dead right about that and Jim all I can say is if you don't think that's a dollbaby, you must be a very lucky man or you may need some glasses.
[This message was edited by Frank Parish on 23 August 2006 at 07:40 PM.]
