Free Metronome!

Post by Harry Dietrich »

I just found this the other day. It's a FREE metronome on line, for those who might like to use one. The only problem is, you have to be playing near your computer.

Happy clicking

We use an Alesis SR 16 drum machine which helps especially when practicing alone without the band.

There are many pre-programmed settings on it. And the tempo can be quickly set for just about anything you want on any setting you choose.

The main fault I have with it is, it is not pre-programmed for 3/4 time. However it is programmable and it can be set up for 3/4 waltz time, which we did on mine.

They can be bought new for around $150.00.

One other important thing is, they should be used through a bass amp or a P.A. system. They can blow a speaker on a regular guitar amp. Trust me on that one. Been there, done that! :-)

Harry,
Sorry, I didn't mean to take away from your post.

I just tried the metronome you so kindly suggested and it is easy to use and works very well.

No problem, Danny.

I thought it was pretty neat if you're recording directly into your computer like I do.
