On the few occasions where one of my guitar students has made a joke about country guitarists I've showed them Doug's intro video. That usually shuts them up..

Doug.
I got the 1&2 DVDs and have been working on them the last two nites nonstop.
I got a pretty solid foundation on guitar a long time ago and have always had a couple around to "work things out on", but never got the urge to REALLY play one again til last spring.
I found that probably the 2 is more challenging, but there's a LOT of stuff to work on, and think about. The licks are great, and the positional thoughts are hard to get a grasp on after playing an instrument where there's less musical thinking involved. for a quarter century. .
THEN, there's getting it up to speed.
I'm using a thumbpick and bare fingers, but I find everything the easiest to get clean thataway, and my right hand has always been my best suit on PSG. It's REALLY nice to get rid of that bar, and get my left hand busy!
Anyhow, WELL worth the price, and I'm glad you took the time to put together all the rhythm tracks, different views, and just feeling like I'm sitting there watching a real guy "show me stuff".
I'll get back with more questions if I have any. Looks like a good month of work ahead, and then there's getting it on the bandstand.
BTW, would you mind posting the specs year etc of your guitar? Are those "jumbo" frets? .011s? Pickups?
What kind of amp/processor etc is on the vid? Looks like an older Standell head and a 300ms delay with repeats.
Thanks again for the DVDs, and any info about your axe/amps and stuff that that you can offer.
More to come I hope.
