Hi Folks,
A friend gave a copy of this pic the other day. Of course I recognise Hank, Minnie and I believe that is "Tater" but what about the others? IS that Roy Acuff? George Morgan? Can you folks please help with any of the others? I am just a young buck (49) Thanks!

Larry,

Roy Acuff is third from left, followed by Red Foley. Sixth from left is Grant Turner, Little Jimmy Dickens and Hank in the middle, Rod Brasfield and Minnie Pearl on the right... Image

Kind Regards, Walter

I think that's bashful brother Oswald next to Roy in the back. Most of the girls are cloggers - (or Hank's dates.) The guy in the plaid shirt stage left is another clogger, or Howdy Doody. The guy on Minnie's left might be Lonzo or Oscar.
[This message was edited by Barry Blackwood on 25 June 2006 at 04:18 PM.]

Looks like Audrey standing next to Hank with her hands on Tater's shoulders.

The guy in the plaid shirt front left is Billy Robinson.

Isn't that Stonewall in the back between Red and Hank?

Okay,here's the "gospel",according to Billy Robinson:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
L. to R.
"Bashful Brother" Oswald
Billy Robinson (checked shirt)
Roy Acuff
Red Foley
Eva Foley (Red's wife at the time)
Thelma Acuff (Roy's daughter)
Grant Turner (anncr.)
Audrey Williams
Little Jimmy Dickens
Hank Williams
Dolly Dearman (Jim Denny's wife)
Helen Bramer
Rod Brasfield
Minnie Pearl
Lonnie "Pap" Wilson (Acuff comedian)
Also on this tour,who were not included in the pic,were Grady Martin,bassist Joe Zinkan,& Jimmy Riddle.
This was a G.O.O. show that was doing a tour of U.S. bases in Germany on Thanksgiving Day,1949.
There ya go gang.
