Les played Kean College last week here in NJ,I couldn't make it but the paper gave him a great review and he hung out to sign autographs and talk until everyone had left, this thing must have crept up on him slowly.

A photographer friend of mine Barry once went to his home in Mahwah, NJ to shoot him and had agreat story.
He had gotten a brken Les Paul guitar head after a Who show that Townshend had destroyed and after the show in the elevator at a hotel, Pete signed it with a large knife. A few years later at Les' House my friend reluctantly asked Les what he thought about all the performers destroying those guitars. His reply was 'No problem, for everyone they destroyed, they had to buy a new one', so Barry pulled dout the Townshend neck and Les also signed it, this time with an engraving tool.

What can you say about a guy like this, still out there mixing it up!

I'll bet Mary Ford is proud and smiling!

James (Cann) - According to his bio, Les Paul and Mary Ford suffered a "bitter" divorce in 1964. She died in 1977, so "proud and smiling?" I doubt it ....
