My sister was heavily into The Cowsills, so I heard a lot of their music, though not by choice. She "loved" Barry. It appears that's been struggling terribly for a long time. I'm so sorry, and I hope that he turns up soon. The tragedy of this storm continues to unfold... |

Susan opened for us in D.C. last year. She is a really good singer and songwriter. |

Thanks, Joey.
I read the sad news this morning in the Providence Journal.
Barry was a unique and complex character: effervescent, quirky, funny, growly . . . We played together 4 or 5 times at Billy Goode's, in Newport, RI. He was always very complementary about my playing.
I'm sure he was wearing one of his signature hats when the water caught up with him.
Rest in peace, my musical friend.
Chris

Wow I just saw this. I too, played a number of gigs with Barry in the late 70s here in L.A. Nice guy and very talented. I heard he had personal problems but I never saw any. 51 is way too young to go. -MJ- |
