Played a gig opening for Ike Turner 2 nights ago.
He has one country number he calls some S*** Kicking music.
We to my shock he opened and closed this long medaly of assorted country and old timey style music with Steel Guitar Rag.
And a creditable version too.
Most of the set was the blues, soul and gutbucket roots music you might expect.
Good show, even with the Tina clone.
We also backed up Big Brother and the Holding Company last night.
Great guys and interstingly modern for a band around for 40 years too.

Yeah, on the six string,
but he gets credit for actually playing the song.
He had 2 other keyboard players too.
Saw Jools Holland's big band last night, very cool.
The cat is one mean piano player.
2 more days of festival to go.
We open the closing day main stage show tomorrow,
before The Wailers and UB 40. |

| FYI: ACE-Records ( in UK ) has released a cd called Ike's Instrumentals, it has tracks from 1954-1965 and Steel Guitar Rag is one of them. |
