Dayna is one of my favorite singers. Her CDs are terrific. First there is her great singing then you get the BEST in western swing pickers. Tom Morrell etc. Hopefully I will get to hear her sing live again soon up in Sacramento at one of those Western Swing Society gigs.

I am sure that Dayna will be doing her haunting and enjoyable singing again at the wonderful Western Swing Society of Sacramento's Hall of Fame weekend at the Holiday Inn NW in Sacramento from Oct 6-Oct 9. My only regret is that I won't be able to make it again this year.

Thanks, guys, for the kind words. Yes I am recording a new CD which will include a variety of tunes with different players, some Sacramento Hall of Famers. After 3 CDs of western swing, I decided to do some other stuff....standards, bluegrass, blues, country, rock, one original funky tune along with some other original songs.Over the years I have sung a lot of different stuff and I like a lot of different stuff. Call me fickle, but there it is! I hope to have it ready in time for Bob Wills Day the last Saturday in April.

I was in the process of recording another CD, this time with a variety of styles, but then I was diagnosed with adult asthma. Of course, it affected my voice and put me out of commission for awhile.
I still have trouble with it now and then, other things came up, and I still have not finished that CD. So, until I hit the lottery or find a sponsor, it'll be awhile before I can get back into the studio.
Thanks for your interest in my warblings.

You are a sweetheart Dana, and I want to thank you again for your kind words about my playing.

It means a lot to me now that I am nearly 80 and have retired from playing. I did a lot of my early work (20 yrs) with western-swing groups, but, in my later years I worked with contemporary artists like Conway Twitty and Henson Cargill, etc, so I was eliminated as a western-swing player.

I hope that I will be given the opportuniuty someday to again be a western-swing musician.
