The following link will take you to The Johnston Band's web site. I just returned from one of their shows and I really was blown away by their consummate musicianship and beautiful harmonies. So, who's the steel player you may be asking yourself at this point? Our own forum brother,my former instructor,and still one of my favorite steel players anywhere, Mr. Gordy Rex. Gordy is as equally proficient on the C6th neck as he is on E9th. On this particular day he was playing a D-10 Fesseden once owned by Tommy White. It's in good hands Tommy).A Peavey Nashville 1000. However, I've heard him play on many occasions, with different guitars and amps and he always sounds great. Incredible tone.
Anyway, there are 2 CD's available for purchase at this site. A live recording as well as a studio recording. Which was recorded at Gordy's studio. A multi talented guy. I think it'll set ya' back $18.00 to own both discs. GRAB 'EM UP! You won't be sorry. Tell 'em Robbie sent ya'.
