A friend of mine dropped his Black Rajah tone bar and the plastic cracked. Is there a way to repair it?

I did the same with mine years ago. I still have it but the crack is unrepairable I am told so it just sits amongst my collection of bars.

You could try West Systems epoxy to fill the crack ... go through a series of wet/dry sandpapers and buff it smooth.

Bill Creller is the guy to talk to about Bakelite repair ... he's been successful mixing Bakelite powder with WS epoxy to fix various Ricky "issues".

Maybe he will "jump in" and elaborate ....

On a side note ... I heard some GREAT news from Chuck B. the other day. He is going to produce more TAPERED Red Rajahs/Phoenixs ...

I spoke with Chuck yesterday and he said all the new bars will be black.
I have a taper on order, he said 3 weeks.

He will also take any damaged bar back and send a new one for $9.95

I am sending my red one back when the new one gets here... and get a jewel box for them both.

I just sent back a tapered bar for exchange - I wasn't comfortable with the balance, so he should have a red one in stock...

Got my "grovey" (or groovy?) bar today in exchange for the tapered bar - I'm very happy with it.

The Shackleton bomber?

Is that an airplane or a wanted criminal?

Bill, I believe you know that the
"Shackleton Bomber" was named after "Sir Earnest Shackleton" the Antartic explorer.
Whew! this is pretty far off topic from the Black Rajah Tone Bar.
