RFD-TV has been showing a documentory on the making of that CD.
Joe Pass is about the tastiest player I have ever watched....that was also the best I have ever seen Roy play, period.
A definate must-see.

I have this CD also and really like it. Joe Pass is one of my favorite Jazz guitar players, and Roy is one of my favorite Country pickers. They did Hanks songs up right. I believe this was the last project Joe Pass did before he died.

Sure was the last project Joe Worked on. I have a lot of his releases on vinyl and cd. A total of over 40 albums, including the stuff with basie, oscar peterson, clark terry and on and on. The Joe Pass memorial website is really nice.

I played bass with a jazz guitarist for over 10 years that really played a lot like Joe. We are actually recording our latest duet album at the end of the month. Joe always sounded great to me--especially with bass players like Ray Brown or NHOP. Tasty Stuff.

I never owned any other Roy Clark albums...any burners out there?

Joe Pass died May 23, 1994. Huge loss. I was actually listening to one of my favorite albums, Seven Come Eleven, when I saw his picture in the newspaper and heard the news.

I was thinking about tabbing out a Joe tune, maybe Blues for Pam or Dantes Inferno on my triple neck custom.
