Does anyone out there remember an instrumental that I believe, Doug Jernigan wrote and recorded many years ago called Memories Of Rosie?
I used to play that song quite often and I was just sitting here thinking about it and thinking how beautiful that song is and was wondering if anyone else out there remembers it or plays it once in a while?
Thanks

Isn't it "Rosenie"? It's on the Diggin' Doug album. |

Gene, I love that tune, and used to play it years ago. Your post reminds me I should dust if off, relearn it and keep it in rotation. Title is "Memories of Rosenie." I requested the song from Doug at the Mesa, AZ show this year, he didn't have charts and knew the band would have some trouble just winging it. He appreciated knowing someone really likes it, I believe he wrote it.

Thanks for getting me straight on the name of this song, I really love that tune a lot, it's such a beautiful melody. Yes, Doug did write that, I was hooked the first time I heard it.

Nice tune. Jernigan is an absolute Monster picker. I have done the song a couple times at our Steel Club. Some of the musicians may not be familiar with it so I like to write a chord chart if we can't rehearse. |
