I've got an old Hank Snow LP called "When Tragedy Struck" which has a song on it called "little Buddy" about a little boy who's dog got ran over. It's about the saddest d@mn thing I ever heard.
He didn't know his dog had died, so I told him as he cried.
Come with me son, we'll get that doctor right away...
If you can get a copy of this LP or a CD copy if available, you'll cry from start to finish....JH

How about Paychecks "In Memory of a Memory". And for the old timers, my Mom had a 78 that I listened to when I was a kid, "I Saw the Wreck on the Highway But I Didn't Hear Nobody Pray". I can't remember who sung it.

I think it was called, I must have done something wrong by Haggard.
Example: If I thought my hand was against you, i'd cut off my arm and walk off and leave it behind, and if I thought that you needed money, well I'd sell my own soul, and I even steal from the poor and the blind. hmmmm maybe that's one for Most Pathetic
