For any of you folks out there who are over 70 years of age who might be ble to answer this.
Back in the early 50's Bud had a band called the Day Dreamers (sp). The band consisted of Eddy Manus, Doug Cox, Dood Deckelman and Don ?. Who played what instruments with this group. They were from around the Memphis area. Would appreciate knowing what information you might have.

Dood Deckelman, acoustic guitar
Eddie Emanus, steel guitar
Doug Cox, electric guitar
Dan Chambers, acoustic bass
Bud Deckelman, rhythm guitar and vocal
This band's recordings for the Meteor label from 1954 are available on a recent 2 CD set: "The complete Meteor rockabilly and hillbilly recordings", Ace 885, a British release.
Deckelman passed away in 1998.

Thanks for the info. I have been in email contact with one of his daughters and she gave me the band members name but not the instruments. Wish he had gone to Nashville with his music. |

Mitch, didn't see a email address for you. You nmust be from around the Memphis area....never seen anything of Bud's music out here on the west coast in so Calif.
