Eliminate Chet from the players, It'd be Paul Yandell if it was an earlier record. Paul was on some stuff then he got drafted and Jimmy Capps was on the later things. I was in Germany the same time Paul was which would be 59-60 or so. I don't know if he did anything with the Louvins after he got out of the service. They used to play tapes of Paul Yandell's playing Atkins type instrumentals over the Armed Forces Radio Network. He was (is) one helluva picker. Jimmy Capps did some of the Louvin's later stuff like "Why Can't I Keep You in Love With Me" where he did some awesome steel type licks on guitar. He's a class act himself for sure.....JH

original release date 1960...
some travis/atkins thumbstylings, but not so much as to make me say "chet!"

Satan, huh? All these years I thought it was Stan. And I wondered who Stan was. Then I found out from the knock-knock joke that Stan Who was Stan By Your Man.

If I recall my bios correctly it was recorded the begining of September 1958.

According to the liner notes in the reissue, it was Yandell's last session before joining the armed forces. Hank Garland was also on the session.
