Thanks for reply, I just thought those guitars had a different tone than most lap steel I`ve heard. I liked the tone that I heard. |

Mike Ihde at Berklee College in Boston has one, and I believe Robert Randolph has a pedal model! |

Yes, I am lucky enough to have one. Jim can tell you from hearing me play it at our local New England Steel shows, it sounds great. It's light as a feather and always gets a conversation going because of it's unique look. I got Harmos to give one to Joe Perry of Aerosmith and he's played on their tour that just ended.
It has a special quality to the sound and you can get a lot of pick-up combinations to customize your own sound. I have a tele like pick-up on it and it's clear and clean. Go to... http://www.harmosmusic.com/
and listen to some of their sound clips. |

I know Sage from our first meeting in Forest Lake, MN, where I was promoting the Minnesota Steel Guitar Association shows. I had Sage play on the show with his first prototype, and it caught the interest of many of the players there at the time. Since then, Sage has done a remarkable job in updating his original prototype, and has seen some success with the exposure that he receives with people like Robert Randolph, and of course, Jerry Douglas, who also uses his guitar.
His guitar is unique in that it takes away the weight, but keeps the quality of the tone and ease of playability for the steeler. At the Dallas show, prior to my leaving, I caught Sage at this booth, and the man playing his demo model, was none other than Maurice Anderson, who gave Sage some sound advice, and endorsement.
This may never replace the pedal steel, but is certainly putting a new twist on where the future of the lap steel, and even the pedal steel, is heading.
Keep up the good work Sage, hope to see you soon.
