Bobbie worked as a backup singer for awhile with marty robbins, then set out on his own.
Anyone have the rest of the story?

Greg Galbraith could probably come up with the right answers. He usually does or knows where to get the right answers.

A lot of people thought the Glaser Brothers did all those great sessions with Marty, But it was in fact Jim Glaser and Bobby. He was a great singer.

I did a show with Bobby Sykes up in Vermont in 1970. It was at the time Marty was recuperating from a Heart attack, and Bobby was doing some roadwork on his own. He was great!! And is a fine person also. I have no idea what he's doing now.

Unless my memory is failing me..didnn't Bobby Cykes work with Hank Snow at one point. I don't want to alarm anyone if I'm wrong. But I thought that he had passed away several years ago; could very well be wrong about this.

Bobby Sykes also recoreded under the name Bob or Bobby Bishop. I am not sure which is his real name.

Bobby Sykes and a Don Winters provided great harmony for Marty Robbins after the Glaser's left the show. Jody.

Mike,
According to the archives (online) of the Tennessean newspaper, Don passed away August 17, 2002 after a year long battle with liver cancer. Jason
