Hey Reggie,
I never heard Tommy Duncan sing Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy. That song was a big hit and always associated with the late Red Foley........Have a good 'un..JH

Jerry,
Bear Family Records in Germany has two great CDs with Tommy Duncan solo recordings from around 1950 "Texas Moon" and "Beneath The Neon Star In A Honky Tonk". Both CDs contain great material ranging from Western Swing to Country...

Reggie, My baby sister and I both celebrate birthdays on this day. I did not realize there was such history with those great songs being recorded on this day. On a tragic note, January 28,1986 was the day the space shuttle exploded after takeoff. So many memories, good and bad. |
