Anyone besides myself who watched this notice that 90% of the vocals were off key? I also noticed a lot of the playing off key as well. Was it just my ears, or did anyone else notice this? My guess is that there were some serious monitor problems causing this... then again, it could have just been my ears

I didn't pay attention as to whether they were out of tune but I definitely noticed they were OUT OF TOUCH!

And why was it hosted by a hooker and a very offensive lineman?

Why do we waste time, watching this stuff?
It's a video awards show, so who's gonna be relevant to us? Shania, backed by Alison Krauss? I mean, come on, when thet announced Pam Anderson as co-host, shouldn't that have been a dead giveaway? This kind of show is always gonna stir up heavy emotions, mostly anger, so why not ignore them? Watch this stuff with the sound off, and practice!
BTW, Cher's farewell(?)concert's on, and she AIN'T GOT A STEEL PLAYER! What's going on here???

Yea, I kinda knew I was setting myself up for disappointment, but hey, even some 'pseudo country' music is better than some of the mindless garbage that was on elsewhere..
I was hoping to catch some decent steel playing, and the only real good steel break I heard, had fair to poor tone, and the intro lick was majorly off key. (not mentioning names).... I will say however, that even though you had Shania Twain singing with Allison kraus, Jerry Douglas' playing was as good as ever... so in the midst of it all, there was a bright spot.

I sort of "half-watched" the show while getting some other stuff done at the same time but I have to say that I stopped and listened while Alan Jackson was on and I thought Robbie Flint sounded great on steel........as usual.

Yeah. That crap is "Flameworthy" alright. If by that you mean worthy of being the main fuel in a great big Anti-Country Raido bonfire!

Gino,
I think some of the artist had monitor problems too!

This award show was voted by the fans. I thought Shania, Darryl and Tobey sounded great!

I did see a pre-show bit wherre Pamela and Toby were hyping the show..It didn't work for me.

Who would ..and why would a producer bring Pamela on to do a Country Music Video TV deal.? Unless they were considering airing Pamela's video..I did hear she has one...

I didn't watch so I don't know if they aired it..but somehow I think not...

ok..back to FOX..

When I heard a promo announce that country music star Pam Anderson was going to host, I knew I better not watch and I didn't.
