Just played a rock 'n' roll oldies show tonight at the Grand Conference Center of Bay City (actually Essexville) MI. Our special guest star was Narvel Felts, who is one of the artists we back from time to time when they come to Michigan. Let me tell you, this cat is worth checking out. He just keeps getting better and better as time goes on.

The house was completely packed at $30 per ticket, the opening act was great, our band had Narvel's show down cold, and Narvel was in absolutely perfect form. Two-thirds of the audience had never even heard of Narvel Felts but I guarantee they'll never forget him now. The knowledgable oldies DJ who did the introduction gave an excellent 3-minute talk about him and then brought him on. Narvel hit the stage like a rocket and KNOCKED THAT CROWD OUT. I mean they were enthralled and spellbound! It was unbelievable. The applause was so loud that we could barely hear our own instruments. After multiple encores which stretched his 1-hour show out considerably, he then spent at least an hour and a half signing autographs. It was, to say the least, an awesome show, a tremendously enthusiastic audience, and a terrific time for all of us.

All that and money too? Yep, we've played a lot of shows but in my experience it just don't get any better than this. When it was finally all over Narvel said "Wow, super show, I can't wait until we can do this again!" and we all said "How about tomorrow?". What a gig and what a performer!! Am I pumped up? You bet I am!

I've played with Narvel, and he gives 110% at every performance! He sings like a bird, and has a knack for turning on the band and the crowd that few entertainers have. In today's world of "sound-alikes", he's really a treasure...he's never got the fame he so richly deserves.

Until this year, I worked one or two shows a year with Narvel for about six or seven years. He ALWAYS gave 1000 per cent, he was ALWAYS fantastic, and ALWAYS the PERFECT GENTLEMAN!!!! What a nice guy he has always been to the "back-up musicians" Such a pleasure to work behind him... Jimmie

Back in the mid '70's through early '80's I lived in Indy and worked with Narvel on several occasions. I have to agree with you guys about Narvel. Both as a performer and a gentleman he is and always has been a class act. Jimmie, next time you see him tell him his steel player from the Hollyoke and Nashville Country Club said Hi.

I can only second all this! We backed Narvel on his first and only ( so far ) show in Finland and he rocked the house. His voice is unbelievable and what a showmanship. And you rarely meet a nicer guy too.

Narvel frequents the Eddie Bond Country Club at Big Hill Pond,Tn. where we've been for the past 5 years, also he appears on our tv show frequently.
He is a super entertainer, guitar player and person.
I like it cause he gives me lot's and lot's of solo's and intro's.
